脉冲 (Pathways United for Learning, Service and Excellence)
脉冲 is a two-day conference-style student development experience held each fall. Students attend 脉冲 in place of their regularly scheduled classes. 学生们 given opportunities to gain insights into their majors and to develop both personally and professionally - all with an emphasis on service, success and excellence.
The 开始演讲 and a number of 车间s will be livestreamed with recordings available after 脉冲. If you plan to watch a livestream or recorded event registration for these events is not necessary. 事件 that will be livestreamed have a video camera icon next to their names.

开始演讲 - Clay Dyer
Clay Dyer's motto for life is, "If I can, you can." Personal STyle for Professional Success
Professional image consultant and stylist 唐娜罗兰 will share how to discover your best colors, dress for your body type, accessorize
for your frame size, to help you create a wardrobe of stylish and figure flattering
clothing to fit your personality and lifestyle.
How to Repair or Build Your Credit
Representatives from Premier Bank of the South will discuss credit scores and how
to repair and grow your credit.
Making and Managing Social Connections
This 车间 will cover avenues/resources for meeting new people, how to minimize
anxiety when engaging with someone new, how to have deeper conversations, and how
to maintain (or end) relationships.
Building Resiliency
When things go wrong it's easy to feel unprepared and discouraged. 弹性能
be learned and practiced. This 车间 will discuss the various components of resilience,
how to manage your response when things go wrong, cultivating a growth mindset, strategies
to increase resilience, and making meaning from our difficult experiences.

A panel of area business professionals will share their insights and answer questions
about their careers and pathways they took to get there.

Customize Your Experience - Choose 2 Blocks!
脉冲 offers three blocks from which students can choose to customize their experience: 开始演讲, 研讨会 and Serve Project. Students should choose to participate in two of the three blocks. These events will offer multiple opportunities for professional development, personal enrichment, tips for student success, the chance to network with leaders in your industry, meet new people, visit areas of pg电子官网状态 you normally wouldn’t, and have fun.

Presentation will be live streamed via WSCC’s YouTube channel and also made available 查看 after the live event. Oneonta students will have the chance to view the live stream on their campus at the Academic Center.
Registration is not required to attend the 开始演讲 in person.

Full-Time Students should attend at least two (2) 车间s if they choose this block.
Part-Time Students should attend at least one (1) 车间 if they choose this block.

Full-time students are those taking 12 or more credit hours; part-time students are taking fewer than 12 credit hours. Some 车间s will be live streamed and/or recorded 查看.
服务项目
Students who choose to participate in a Serve Project will sign up via the Course 列表页面. (See 在这里报名 link below.) Space is limited to first-come, first-served 基础. 服务项目 listed on the Course Listing page are open to all students. Other 服务项目 may be exclusive to certain programs; check with your instructors about signing up for these projects.
Students should participate in only one Serve Project.
Complete Reflection and/or Class Assignment
After 脉冲 is over, you will be asked to complete a reflection and/or a separate assignment associated with one or more of your classes. Please check with your instructors to see how they will incorporate this into their curriculum and if any extra credit will be awarded for your participation.

No, if you are not attending in person, you do not have to register because you will not need a physical seat.
No, all of the events are free.
To un-enroll, send your name with the name, date, and time of the 车间 to pulse@mapnama.com.
Students may choose any 车间 in which seats are availalbe; however, some instructors may ask students to register for program-specific 车间s.
We strongly encourage students to select new 车间s each year they participate 在脉冲.
Links for these events will be available in the 脉冲 黑板上 course in the module titled RESOURCES FOR ONLINE STUDENTS: 脉冲 recordings and links to live-streamed events will be available here.
If you take classes only 在线, you have the option of participating in person on campus OR participating 在脉冲 by viewing the 脉冲 Keynote speaker either in the live-streamed or recorded version and by viewing recorded versions of a limited selection of 脉冲 车间s (we couldn't possibly record everything, so we chose a selection of the most popular 车间 topics). You do not need to register if you plan to view 车间s and/or the Keynote event 在线. Once 脉冲 has taken place, and we have had time to upload the 车间 recordings, they will appear in the 脉冲 黑板上 course. Please visit the 脉冲 黑板上 course after 脉冲 to view 车间s.
The kickoff speaker and several 车间s will be livestreamed and/or recorded for 学生访问. Links for these events will be available in the 脉冲 黑板上 course in the module titled RESOURCES FOR ONLINE STUDENTS: 脉冲 recordings and links to live-streamed events will be available here.
